Sample Tour 1.

Leaving the docks we travel under the river Mersey (via the tunnel) on our way to the ancient City of DEVA, established by the Romans in the 5th century BC. The city is better known as CHESTER.

We provide a driving tour of the city before visiting the Cathedral or Roman Experience before allowing free time to walk the city walls or shop in the unique 'Rows'.

Leaving Chester, we travel back towards Liverpool and visit the lovely garden village of Port Sunlight which was created by William Hesketh Lever (a multi-millionaire soap manufacturer) in 1888. Here you can see over 90 grade 2 listed houses which were built by the Lord to house his employees. We also visit the renown Art Gallery or museum.

From here we travel to Birkenhead where we take in the 'U-Boat Story'. Here you can visit the WWII German U-Boat 534 which was sunk by the British and recovered after the war.

After this it is back through the tunnel to your ship

Tour is suitable for all ages and abilities as there are no significant mobility restrictions.
