Golf

OLG arrange golf excursions to both Championship Courses or local Hidden Gems. We are able to offer 'Hidden Gem' golf to passengers who have not pre-booked. All Championship venue golf must be pre-arranged however.

We have included photographs of our local Hidden Gem Courses to allow you to view them. Please click on any of courses listed above.

Included in the price for each 18 hole tour is:-

Membership of the Ocean Links Golf Society for one year (we are the only society in the north of Scotland to be registered with the Scottish Golf Union).

Golfer’s liability insurance for the day of play.

Green fees and hire of golf caddie (trolley).

Loan of full set of brand name clubs. (Hippo OS-III for Men and Petron Vogue for Ladies)

Gift voucher to spend on balls or other items in Pro Shop (value £10).

Free OLG golf umbrella.

 

If we have 6 or more players, we will organise a Stableford Competition and donate a bottle of Single Malt Whisky as a prize.

Championship courses of Royal Dornoch, Golspie, Tain or Nairn may be booked (subject to availability), prices are on application.

Price for Hidden Gem Golf from £50 €75 or $100 (dependant upon course played)

 

Golf from Edinburgh

St Andrews, Carnoustie, Gleneagles, North Berwick or Gullane.

All courses must be pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance (subject to availability)

COMBINE Golf with Sightseeing and please ALL of your Party !!!

We are now successfully arranging combined Golf & Sightseeing Tours which allows all of your party to have a day together. During golf, the non-golfers are given a 4 hour sightseeing tour, after which, we all meet up and have lunch in club-house and then continue with a further tour of 3/4 hours.

EXAMPLE:- departing from Invergordon

All Travel to Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf course where golfers play 18 holes on a true Scottish Links course designed by James Braid.

During golf, non golfers visit Culloden, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle then return for lunch with the golfers.

After lunch we all travel via Loch Ness to Glen Ord for tour of distillery.

Travel scenic route back to ship

Tour takes 7/8hrs min.

 

 

 

Laird 'O the Manor

 

For those who do not play golf but would like to take part in some other highland outdoor pursuit, we offer the following, all of which take place on a 4000 acre private estate:-

Clay Pigeon Shooting - This activity is for beginners or experts alike. Standard safety instruction will be given to all participants before shooting. Those wishing tuition will be given 25 cartridges and birds as part of the price. Expert clay shooters (no tuition required) will receive 50.

Fishing - We offer River, Loch or Stocked Pool fishing where you can fish for Trout, Pike or Eel depending on which location you choose. Some salmon fishing may be available and Spey Cast tuition can be arranged. Rods are provided.

Mountain Biking - Within the Estate, there are many well marked mountain biking tracks to follow. Safety helmets, and bikes of course, are provided.

4 X 4 Driving - This takes place in the heart of the estate using a purpose built off road circuit. For parties of 4 or more, we will organised a driving completion and donate a prize for the best drive. Expert tuition is available at an extra cost.

Photographic Safari - For wildlife lovers, why not take an adventure in the company of a knowledgeable ranger. Trips take approximately 3 hours and there will be plenty of opportunity to photograph Roe Deer and possibly Red and Sika deer. Within the estate you may be able to film Red Kite, Osprey, Buzzard, Badger, Pine Martin, Wildcat, Otter and many more.

Canoeing, Abseiling and Archery - These activities can also be arranged but

All Activities listed here must be booked in advance.

A free tour of the estate is provided to all, once your chosen activity is completed. The tour will incorporate the arboretum, dogs graveyard and much more.
